Brows on point 24/7
Beautiful eyebrows define the face and show your eyes off to their best advantage. If your brows are looking a little worse for wear, don’t despair, there is a solution!
The image opposite demonstrates how the brow should be defined. Grab a ruler or pencil and see how your brows shape up!
Eyebrow embroidery is a semi-permanent technique using colour pigment drawn onto the skin giving you natural looking eyebrows.
It is a method used to create numerous fine hair-like strokes, leaving the brows looking so natural, that in most cases the tattooing is almost undetectable.
Generally eyebrow embroidery lasts for approx. 2 years depending on the colour used and your skin type.
Feather Touch involves cosmetic tattooing on tiny lines/strokes in a design that gives the appearance of hair. Feather touch alone, with no background, does require more re-touching than other methods. But is the most natural so worth it!
Immediately after the procedure your brow area will have some redness, which disappears within a few hours and can be easily camouflaged with makeup. Within a week of your first treatment the colour will fade significantly and over the next four weeks can continue to fade as much as 40%.
After this period, the second phase of feather touch is carried out. At this point any changes you would like to make are discussed and pigments are once again lightly layered into the skin. You can expect a colour fade but to a much lesser degree. A touch up is recommended at 6-8 weeks after the appointment this is included in the cost. (In Most salons)
Is it an eyebrow tattoo?
Yes, and no. It can be considered a form of tattoo, however the pigments are distilled water based (compared to oil carrier based used in tattoos) resulting in a semi-permanent result. Eyebrow embroidery is only performed on the skin surface making it a much safer treatment than traditional eyebrow tattoos.
How long will it last?
There is no definitive answer – it’s dependent of many factors such as pigment used, (darker colours last longer than lighter ones), your health, the density of pigment, the exposure to UV light.
Also tanning and not using sun protection will fade cosmetic tattoos faster
Hair stroke/Feather – 18 months to 2 years.
Good brows are an investment for a more permanent brow solution that looks amazing, it’s going to come at a cost, usually starting from $550.
